Webster rose to prominence after performing at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Summer Olympics.[1] Her debut studio album, Follow Your Heart, was released in 2001.[2] The album peaked at number five on the Australian Top 100 Albums Chart and received platinum certification by the Australian Recording Industry Association.[3][4] The lead single "Strawberry Kisses" peaked at number two on the Australian Top 100 Singles Chart and received platinum certification.[3][5] The album's subsequent singles "Depend on Me" and "The Best Days" reached numbers 16 and 21, respectively.[3] The following year, Webster released her second studio album, Bliss.[6] The album peaked at number 16 and received gold certification.[3][7] The lead single "Something More Beautiful" reached number 13 and received gold certification.[3][8] Webster released her third studio album, Let's Dance, in 2004.[9] The album failed to achieve the commercial success of her previous albums, peaking at number 46.[3] The lead single "Dancing in the Street" reached number 19.[3] Later that year, she released a compilation album, The Best of Nikki Webster.[10] The album peaked at number 84.[3] As of February 2008, Webster is working on her fourth studio album.[11] The lead single "Devilicious" reached number 78.[3]
